"'How many days until the next school vacation?' said every educator ever!" -Somee Cards
With Appreciation:
- High fives to Rob for his work in keep our campus clean and fresh. This time of year, there is lots to do - debris to clear, sick kids, mud, etc... and he does it all with a smile!
- Big thanks to Gary, who was our guest evening custodian since before Thanksgiving. We'll be glad to have Arty back soon!
- Big thanks to all of our teachers, Tricia and Pam for their part in making our Tri 1 assemblies smooth and efficient!
- Kudos to our lunch team (supervisors & cafeteria team) for their flexibility with lunch room space/winter performance rehearsals
Quick Reminders
- This time of year can be stressful - remember that the EAP program is open to all staff at no charge
- Space heaters - be sure there is an auto shut off switch in case it tips over. Please take care to turn them off each day and unplug them on weekends and holidays
- ER Week Prep Schedule - find it here (Staff Portal > Filing Cabinet)
- The Fire Marshal visit has been rescheduled for Wed., 12/19 from 1-4:30; conveniently at the same time as our Holiday Party. :)
- The book fair is here the week of 12/10. Students will visit during library time, and the library will be open during AM recess, after school and during the evening performances. Please encourage your parents to volunteer to staff the Fair. The sign up is link is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0c49acaf2fa6ff2-winter
Policy Reminders
- Remember, travel studies must go to Tricia FIRST; she'll get them to the teacher ASAP!
- Field trip lunches - forms are due to the cafeteria 14 days in advance. Please be sure to notate if a student prefers milk, veggies and if there are any food allergies. FYI - the district is working on DIGITIZING this and other Field Trip forms (yay!)
- We have gotten complaints from the community and city about the volume of our staff who are parked in the parking lot by the park behind our school. There is plenty of parking by the office before contract time starts; let's save those spots for those who arrive to work right at 8 am when it's a zoo out front.

As of 12/9, here are some stats:
- READING: 66% of students are done (2nd grade is rocking it with over 90% of grade level done!), 25% are in progress and only 4% have a rushing notation!
- MATH: 60% of students are done (1st grade has 100% completion!), 28% are in progress and 7% have a rushing notation!
