SoTL Commons Conference Call for Proposals

The SoTL Commons is an international conference with an intimate feel – listen to high quality presentations from nationally and internationally recognized speakers and join in conversations on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) with a community of scholars from around the world.

Consider Mid-Semester Student Feedback

Soliciting student feedback communicates that you care about the quality of your teaching and about your students’ learning. Some studies indicate that mid-semester student feedback has the potential to yield higher end-of-course evaluations.


The Faculty Center has developed a process for collecting student feedback through Qualtrics. It’s easy! It’s anonymous!

Teaching Online Courses (TOC) Program

Teaching Online Courses? The GS Distance Education Policy states that faculty must complete training with the Center for Teaching Excellence in order to teach online courses. Completion of the Teaching Online Courses (TOC) program fulfills this requirement.
