Dr. Cannada is hosting a Ministry Lunch on September 20th to share about an exciting ministry he is involved with in Indonesia. His work there began with a family that was mentored/tutored by RTS grads and has grown into a ministry that now includes a university with over 16,000 students, 55 Christian schools, 25 Christian hospitals, and the planting of Presbyterian churches.

EQUIP Workshop - October 27

Nancy and David Guthrie: “What Grieving People Wish You Knew About What Really Helps and What Really Hurts” Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 6:30PM-8:30PM, RTS Charlotte Chapel.

People in the midst of grief have high expectations for those charged with ministering to them. They have a heightened sensitivity to what people say, or don’t say, how people in the church come around them, and how some seem to disappear. David and Nancy Guthrie have experienced the death of two children and have a ministry to grieving parents. They’ll help equip us for the challenging task of caring well for those who are grieving, offering specifics on what to say and what not to say, what to do and what to avoid, tackling touchy topics like talking about heaven, navigating interactions on social media and more. Students and their spouses may attend free of charge, but must email Carolyn to register. All others may register online.
