Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Snapshot News:

Year 9 Food Technology Trip

A group of Year 9 students has the opportunity to visit Moulton College Food and Drink Innovation Centre. The Centre offers courses ranging from Levels 2 - 4 and cover professional bakery, food technology, management and science and nutrition. Students made scones under the supervision of Steve Russell, Associate Programme Coordinator.

  • Mrs Brown has nominated Year 13 students Taylor and Ryan for their excellent NEA submissions in English. Also nominated are Year 11 students Abbie and Dominika for excellent work in the recent English Language mock exam.
  • Miss Blencowe has nominated her Year 7 Food Technology class who made amazing cheese scones, in particular Chloe and Matthew.
  • Mr Hirst would like to say well done and he is extremely proud of my Year 11 Engineering students for their NEA work! They have shown great resilience.

  • Mr Harley has nominated Cameron, Year 8 for his outstanding scene in the box project and wonderful evaluation and book work presentation and Year 7 Oskar for his excellent technical ability with working in aluminium in Design Technology.

  • Mr Horne has nominated Year 11 students Dominika and Adam for excellent mathematical reasoning.


Year 10 Ready for Work assembly

Year 10 students received a ready for work assembly delivered by Paul McHutchison of Cross Country Trains. Students really enjoyed learning about the role and of a Senior Conductor and the variety of career paths available within the rail industry.
