Principal's Update
Dear St. Gabes students and families,
Happy Fall! We are having such a lovely and extended fall this year for which I'm so grateful. I love winter but I'd love a lot less of it than we normally get!
We've had a wonderful start up at St. Gabriel Education Centre this year. Students are well into their courses now and we're seeing lots of students coming in to work with teachers or just to work on their own here. Our staff are working hard with students to ensure that every student who comes to St. Gabes is successful. It's great to see more activity and traffic.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving liturgy with Father Ignacy from St. Albert parish presiding. Afterwards, we all joined together to share lunch which was provided by the staff of St. Gabes. It was great to be able to eat together as a community again and to share stories and laughter.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our food drive. Lac St. Anne parish was very grateful for the support. It's in giving that we receive.
We also had a wonderful School Council meeting with 7 parents in attendance, which is enough to establish a school council. I encourage you to join us and learn about what St. Gabriel Education Centre is all about and to give us input about what you would like to see at our school. Thank you to those parents who joined us and helped to get us started!
I'm looking forward to continuing to get to know our students and families this semester.
Many Blessings!

Meet our Staff!
Mr. Christian Pagnani
Hello,
I’m Christian Pagnani and I teach English, Social and Art at St Gabriel Education Center. I love reading and writing in all parts of life, whether that is reading about my favourite sports, hockey and football, or reading the latest review of the new television show I just started watching. Getting students excited about the arts and current events is a challenge I relish.
When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with friends and family. I’ve recently taken up disc golfing and love watching whatever sports are on. Restaurants or takeout are essentials as well.
I’m so thrilled to join St. Gabes this year.

ARISE! Get Up, Get Going and Go with God!
"Arise! I have appointed you as a witness of what you have seen!"
(Acts 26:16)
Our GSACRD Faith theme is in its second year of, "Arise! Get Up, Get Going and Go with God!"
This year, we are focusing on the "Get Going!" part of our theme. How do students, staff and parents know, model and witness Jesus Christ?
October - The Month of the Rosary
WHY IS OCTOBER THE MONTH OF THE ROSARY?
October 7th is the memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary, sometimes referred to as the Feast of the Holy Rosary. The day was dedicated by St. Pius V who credited a victory over the invading Turks to the intercession of Mary through the rosary. Pope Benedict XVI described the image of Our Lady of the Rosary in a 2007 Angelus:
“The traditional image of Our Lady of the Rosary portrays Mary who with one arm supports the Child Jesus and with the other is offering the rosary beads to St Dominic. This important iconography shows that the Rosary is a means given by the Virgin to contemplate Jesus and, in meditating on his life, to love him and follow him ever more faithfully. It is this message that Our Lady has also bequeathed to us in her various apparitions.”
