Get Healthy

It Says…
“The report said most Canadian children spend too much time in front of TV and computer screens; don't get the expert-recommended 90 minutes a day of exercise; eat too much fat and junk food; consume too many sugary drinks and don't eat the recommended five daily servings of fruit and vegetables.”

I Say...
That this is a very unhealthy thing and although it is very bad, it’s not very surprising. With the major increase of interest in social media these days, it’s something to be expected. People are on social media sites all day long and don’t find it necessary to go outside and play or exercise because their entire life is basically online or on an app. People also eat too much junk food and consume too many sugary drinks because they “taste better” than a normal apple or carrot. Junk food is also very convenient for some people. Sometimes people don’t have enough time to actually cook food for breakfast and have to rush out of their homes at 6 in the morning. In these cases, a granola bar or a small bag of chips is very convenient for these people. And sometimes people don’t even know that what they’re eating is super unhealthy. So, kids -all people in general- are unkowingly getting overweight which is leading to many health risks and a shorter life expectancy. Well, at least that’s what I think.
And So...
People should care more about this issue. It is very important for people to be aware of childhood obesity because maintaining a healthy weight is a really important part of our overall health and well being. It's also a great concern to our society. if children are getting overweight at such a young age, imagine what will happen when they grow up. Yikes! So, we should all try exercising more and try to lay off the junk food. I mean, it's okay to eat junk food everyone once in a while but just not too much. We should also try going out more. How about instead of scrolling through your friend's Instagram photos, you visite her home and hang out. Trust me, actually talking to someone is way different than video chatting. Overall, just try to excise at least an hour a day, eat the recommended five daily servings of fruit and vegetables and don't stare at a computer screen all day.
