Free to all Cascadia and UW Bothell students, staff, and faculty!Social Justice Jam is a space for revolutionary spoken word and open mic performances. Sign up in advance to perform by emailing Alejandra PĂ©rez at aleperez@uw.edu with your name and approximately how long you want to perform for, or sign up the day of the event.
We'll also have materials for arts and crafts, paired with amazing pizza and salad from Can-Am. Unwind before finals week one last time with your SJOs, and celebrate the end of another successful year!
This event will not be scent-free, but to increase access for community members with chemical sensitivities, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or essential oils, and change out of clothes that have been smoked in.
Access info: The Plaza is an outdoor space. Attendees can sit at one of a few picnic tables, which have spaces for wheelchairs, or on the large concrete steps. The nearest restrooms are up the stairs or a wide ramp, inside Discovery Hall. There are automatic door opener buttons on the entry to Discovery Hall and outside each of the restrooms. There are multi-stall men's and women's bathrooms and a single-stall all-gender restroom.
