District Updates to masking policy. Starting on Monday, March 7th masks are optional
Attached is the ISD 709 district newsletter sent out by Superintendent Magas which includes important information about masking policy changes at school starting on Monday, March 7th.
(Masks will be optional starting on Monday, March 7th based on updated CDC guidelines). Preschool families - please check with your child's teacher for more information about specifics for the preschool classrooms and masking details.

MCA TESTING FOR GRADES 3-5 - PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS
MCA (Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment) testing is scheduled for April 11-13, April 26-27, and May 5. This is a statewide, annual test that measures achievement on the Minnesota Academic Standards in reading, mathematics, and science. These set of assessments are required to be administered to all students in grades 3-5. Please avoid scheduling vacations or any appointments for your students during these weeks.

KINDERGARTEN MEET AND GREET (FORMERLY KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP)
The Kindergarten Meet & Greet will be March 24th from 3:30-5:30. This is a chance for Kindergartners who are starting in Sept of 2022 to turn in their registration paperwork and meet the Kindergarten teachers. Call Brenda at the Stowe office with any questions: 218-336-8965.

We are excited to have the opportunity to host you and your campers during Summer 2022. We are looking forward to a summer a bit more normal than the past two, but if needed, we are ready to implement any of the protocols that allowed for such a successful camp last summer.
REGISTRATION FOR KIDSROCK WILL BE OPEN STARTING MARCH 8!
UMD KIDSROCK 2022 Summer Camp “Early Registration” is Tuesday, March 8, 9am-5pm. Registration during this time will be ONLINE only on RSOP’s registration site. We recommend that you visit the RSOP REGISTRATION SITE before-hand to make sure that you can access your online account.

Heritage - Vintage Sports Summer Camp
Gary New Duluth Rec Center
The Gary New Duluth Recreation Center has teamed up with the city of Duluth to rally and organize the community needs of kids, families and seniors. They've recently partnered with the YMCA to create a space with a strong sense of place and purpose for children. Their focus is on P.L.A.Y.: Promoting Lifetime Activities for Youth. The YMCA Nature Programming is 2:15-5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Check the GND out on Facebook to sign your kids up for these great programs:
