Good evening Romeo High School Parents and Students,
After using this new Smore program for our weekly communication, I think we're getting the hang of it and have a way to organize new information, reminders from past weeks, links, documents, etc. We're also going to keep a "Class of 2023" section at the bottom since there are so many senior year specific events and information. Some other helpful features are the ability to translate into different languages, use a high contrast mode, and make the font bigger.
It was a great Homecoming Week with lots to do and fun things to participate in. This week's student-produced newsletter (in the documents section below) contains more information and pictures.

Safety Week
As has been communicated with you all many times over the last year, Romeo schools has invested a substantial amount of time and money into providing safe schools for our community. Next week, we will be reviewing our safety drills and protocols with our high school students as well as walking to our Rally Point (Hevel Elementary School) to ensure all students know where to go in case of a true active violence emergency.
KeepnTrack System
As a part of our safety protocols, RHS and 9GA will be implementing the KeepnTrack system for all visitors/vendors (going beyond the office) to our school. This system will alert us of sex offenders and serious criminal backgrounds. More information on this system can be found on the website: https://www.keepntrack.com/
Upcoming PSAT/NMSQT Test for Juniors
On October 25, RHS will be providing all Juniors the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT test during school hours. Each year, we provide this opportunity to help our Juniors be better prepared for the SAT they will take in April. For more information, please read the attached flyer:

Upcoming AP Testing (Spring 2023)
It is that time of the year to decide if you (your child) will be taking the AP exam for his/her AP class in the Spring. Attached is a letter further describing why it may be important to take the AP exam, deadline for payment, and the process to choose the exam and pay. Any questions regarding AP testing should be directed to our counselor and AP Coordinator, Ms. Zelmanski (contact information included in the letter).
