Trick Or Treating and Halloween Party
The other parents will stay back in the classroom and prepare for our party.
We should return to class around 1:30 and be ready for our fun party.
So-
1:00 Trick or Treating
1:30 Halloween Party
A peek into our week
Math- We worked on representing numbers in different ways. An example of this is that 3 hundreds, 4 tens, and 2 ones is the same thing a 2 hundreds, 14 tens, and 2 ones. This is a pretty challenging concept that we will continue to work on. It will help us to understand regrouping when adding and subtracting and why we do it.
We also started working on adding strategies and focused on Doubles Plus One. Ask your child to tell you all about it! Math Facts in a Flash will also start this week. Remember, they can practice at home and then come in and test on their current level. This will really help us with Math Fluency.
Bible - We focused on Forgiveness and enjoyed the Parable of the Lost Son. We had great discussions and prayers about how forgiveness isn't always easy, but it is always right.
*SPELLING- There will NOT be homework activities this week.
We will enjoy working with Halloween Spelling words:
pumpkin autumn haunted orange treat candy spider skeleton
October Halloween scare costume spooky creepy midnight
**Reminder to also help your children remember to log their reading daily at home.
*** Were you able to log into Think Central? The children are very excited to be able to use this new electronic Math tool!
