6th Grade Class Receives Brown Scapular
Today, 4/14/, Mr. Mark Todd and his wife presented Brown Scapulars to the 6th-grade class. This took place in church and was a wonderful experience. It was even more meaningful since it occurred on Good Friday.
The Brown Scapular represents True Devotion to Mary and that consist of three things
- Veneration
- Confidence
- Love
Without saying to Mary we venerate Her, love Her and trust Her, we tell Her these things every moment of the day by simply wearing the Scapular.
We have asked that each student share their experience with their parents/guardians and show you their Scapular. If they do not please ask him or her about it. I am very interested in what they have to say, so feel free to share with me through email.
Love of Mary
Vacation Give-A-Way in Dolphin Island - Chances Distributed
On Thursday, 3/23/17, chances (15) were sent home with your child on a Vacation Give-A-Way in Dolphin Island (donated by Robert Oliverio, father of Roger Oliverio). These chances are a part of our summer picnic.
The Parish Summer Picnic is the largest revenue source of our parish and very important in the support of the school. We receive proceeds from this picnic each year to help with the cost of tuition for every family. Without this support, your tuition would be considerably higher, so it is very important you support the picnic.
One of the ways you can help the picnic is to sell your chances and help us achieve our goal of $13,000. If we reach this goal we will get out of school on May 25th and not May 26th. The 8th grade will get out on May 18th instead of May 19th.
Thank you for all the support you provide to school and parish. This makes St. Paul a very special place.
