Land of READ-A-LOT
Maidens and Lords will finish the year with a novel study! We are reading Mockingbird, by Kathryn Erskine. Students will be following Caitlin through her journey with Asperger's. The daily reading would be great conversation for around the dinner table!!
Missions in Math
The Kingdom has been working with rulers and measuring objects that have whole and fractional parts! They have also been drawing lines that show this relationship!
Soaring in Science
Students received a letter from the Mayor of Greentown asking them to investigate possible reasons for the death of frogs and plant life in town. Students continued to follow the engineering design process by asking questions about the ecosystem in Greentown. They created a food web in order to learn what producers, consumers, and decomposers live in the polluted environment!
