COVID-19 Notification Letter

Dear Scarborough High School Families and Staff,

This letter is to inform you that since our last communication yesterday, 3 additional people from Scarborough High School have been confirmed positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total at the school to 6 cases in 2 days. Our nursing staff and building administrators, working in close communication with the Maine CDC to ensure all protocols are being followed. All close contacts from school exposure are being contacted. We are informing you now in an effort of complete transparency. We would continue to caution all families and staff to follow CDC requirements and take precautions as necessary, in an effort to assist us in slowing the community spread at this time.

In the past two days over 100 people at the high school have been placed into quarantine. We cannot reiterate enough the need for everyone to continue to follow the CDC requirements, whether at school or in the larger community.
