Reminder: Achievement Applications, Diamond Clover Forms, Ambassador Applications, Club of Excellence, Camp/Workshop and College Scholarship Applications are due by 4:30pm on October 24.
All applications can be turned in electronically by emailing them to dodge-county@unl.edu. Electronic signatures (typed initials and names) are accepted on all applications. Make sure to include the date. If you prefer turning in hard copies, we will accept that as well. You do not have to print out Diamond Clover applications.
For Senior Level Achievement Applications there are instructions in the application to “submit via email”. This instruction is meant to help counties forward these to the state, which must be done electronically. For Dodge County submissions, we will create electronic copies before sending them to the state.
There are scholarship opportunities at different levels (county, state, national) that fall in two main categories - those that require you to submit the Achievement Application by October 24th and those that do not.
Scholarships that Require Achievement Application
At the national and state levels the 4-H Foundation has scholarship opportunities for Senior Level youth that require Achievement Applications to be completed. In the Senior Achievement Level Application you can select which scholarship(s) you want to be considered for. These scholarships require additional information (transcripts, ATC scores, etc) that will be turned in with the Achievement Application. The Achievement Application doubles as your scholarship application. Please note somewhere on your Achievement Application which scholarships you are applying for.
At the County level, the 4-H Council and 4-H Foundation offer scholarships for Camp or Workshops, and the 4-H Foundation also offers college scholarships.. To be eligible for these awards youth must complete the Achievement Application.
Scholarships that do not Require Achievement Applications.
At the County level we offer a second round of scholarships that are due in spring that do not require Achievement Applications with the goal of opening more opportunities for Dodge Co 4-Hers. One application is for the Dodge County 4-H Council College Scholarship. The other is a second round of Camp/Workshop scholarships.
