Generation Y
By Sydney Welch
This is How Generation Y is Perceived by Older Generations
We are viewed as a very narcissistic generation. People see us as a group that is very addicted, and reliant to technology. Other generations view us as arrogant self-absorbed peopled who are only into labels. They also view us as people who are rebellious and eager. We are also very involved in the world, whether its politically or environmentally.
I on the other hand view us as big dreamers who are very creative and outgoing. We like to be ourselves and have an open mind to everything.
We use social media throughout our daily lives often. This could be seen as a negative and a positive. I like to look on the positive side. People throughout our generation are able to always be in touch with one another, it's nice for people separated by distance. Technology also helps us know what is going on around us.
Generation Y is very in touch with the world. Compared to most generations ours is very involved. We are very opinionated and into politics. We also are very caring and empathetic for third world countries.
