Week One of Distance Learning is complete - great job everyone!
We have completed the first week of Distance Learning - and we'd like to recognize everyone involved - teacher, support staff, parents and students. Great job to everyone for taking on this new challenge and opportunity. I'm sure there were bumps in the road, but hopefully you were able to work through them together. Keep communication up and an open mind as we navigate through this new adventure together.
We will also have a Library Book Box for returning library books. We will then bring them in the building without touching the books, and let them sit until it is safe to touch them and "check them in". We want to give you an opportunity to return those library books that may be overdue or that you are finished reading, but we must do it in a COVID-19 safe manner.
There will also be meals distribution this Friday for those already signed up and participating.
We are going forward and completing the 2019-2020 Tustumena Yearbook. Since we cannot accept items at school, you cannot submit paper forms and payments (unless you turned them in before spring break). Therefore, here is the online ordering information: You may order online with a credit card at ybpay.lifetouch.com with yearbook ID 14063020
Do you or someone you know have a child who will be pre-kindergarten age next year (4 years old by Sept 1st), please have them contact Thea Anthony at TAnthony@kpbsd.k12.ak.us or 907-260-1345. While we cannot accept paper applications right now, we are accepting applications for our Title I Pre-K program for next year, 2020-2021 school year, through email! So if you or someone you know would like an application, please have them contact Mrs. Anthony and she will send them a digital application.
As a reminder, many staff members are teleworking, or working from home, so if you call and are unable to reach someone, please leave a message. Voicemails are forwarded to email and therefore teachers and staff can return your call and get you the information you need.
