LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Dolphin Families,
I wanted to take a moment to share the incredible energy and excitement that has filled our school this week. The introduction of Denny Dinero has been a tremendous success, and we were thrilled to announce our first three raffle winners. The enthusiasm from our scholars in earning Denny Dinero for demonstrating the Denny Way has been truly inspiring. It's heartening to witness the positive impact and spirit that Denny Dinero has brought to our school community.
Moreover, the student store has been abuzz with activity as many prizes have been purchased with Denny Dinero, adding an extra layer of joy and fun to our school life. The engagement and participation we've seen have made this week truly memorable.
In addition to Denny Dinero, we've also kicked off the Perfect Attendance Snack Cart and Lunch Time Competitions. These initiatives aim to celebrate and reward the dedication of our students, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
It has been a great start to second semester and we are looking forward to more fantastic moments ahead.
Warmly,
Mary Ingraham

Class Balancing and Schedule Changes Update
The registration team has been working tirelessly to balance classes for second semester. We are almost done balancing classes and are trying to concurrently work on schedule change requests. We are not getting to each request as quickly as we would like to and we are working to have all of the shifts completed before going on Mid-winter break. Thank you for your patience and if you have schedule change questions please reach out to the grade level counselor below.

Our three offerings are:
Grades 6-7, Bureau of Fearless Ideas: Your Life as a Graphic Novel
Grades 6-8, Wing Luke Museum: An Art Filled Adventure
Grades 7-8, Young Shakespeare Theater: Shakespeare and Fencing
All Academies are 9am-12pm, Tuesday, February 20th – Thursday, February 22nd . All are free and bus transportation is provided to two sites. More details on the flyer.

Screenagers Under the Influence: Vaping, Drugs and Alcohol in the Digital
Screenagers Under the Influence: Vaping, Drugs and Alcohol in the Digital is a film that examines how the ubiquity of technology has changed the way teens are exposed to risky behaviors and substances. In our technology revolution, the amount of exposure teens have to substances via shows, ads, social media, and so forth is unprecedented. Mental health issues and substance use are linked, and teens need opportunities to gain skills to handle challenging emotions and discuss issues related to substances. Screenagers Under The Influence provides exactly that. This film, along with the two other Screenagers films, offers a way for youth and adults to discuss issues and solutions.
