First Day B Track!

CNUSD Year-Round Families,

We hope you are enjoying a restful week before we head into the 21-22 for B-Track. We are busy preparing for the new year and while we are still awaiting further guidance from the CDC and CDPH for a complete update to the school safety guidance, we want to provide you the latest on what to expect for our upcoming school year.

Please take a moment to review the updated frequently asked questions below:

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How do we find out who are child's teacher is? Teacher placement is now available under parent connect.

  • Will parents be allowed to accompany students to their classrooms on the first day of school? No. Under the current CDPH guidance for schools, our campuses are still closed to parents, volunteers, and on-campus visitors. Staff will be available to assist students in finding their classrooms the first week of school. Rest assured we will make sure your child gets to their classroom safely.

  • Are facemasks still mandatory for students indoors? Masks are required for everyone indoors in K-12 schools while student programs are in session.

  • Are facemasks mandatory outside? No, masks will no longer be mandatory outdoors on CNUSD campuses.

  • Are we returning to a normal schedule? We will be returning to a full-time regular bell schedule for the upcoming 21-22 school year which starts on August 3rd for B Track. Please click below to see your school site start and end times. Click here for school schedules.

  • What will lunch look like? Extra tables and umbrellas have been provided at our school sites and classes will be assigned tables to eat together during lunch. All students will have access to a free lunch from our Child Nutrition Services for the 21-22 school year.

  • Will classrooms still have plastic barriers? Plastic barriers will be removed from student desks.

  • Is physical distancing still required? Physical distancing is only required in the classroom setting.

  • Will schools be providing temperature checks? School sites will no longer check students’ temperature upon arrival to school, but we ask families to continue to self-screen for any COVID-19 symptoms prior to coming to school. Visitors will be temperature checked upon arrival to the school site.
