Top 10% Reward School

Cabot Middle School South was awarded $71,222.08 for ranking in the Top 10% of Schools in Arkansas. These monies will be used to purchase new chrome books for students to use throughout the building.

Prudential Community Award Winner - Riley Strube

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.

The program's goals are to applaud young people who already are making a positive difference in their towns and neighborhoods, and to inspire others to think about how they might contribute to their communities. Over the past 19 years, more than 370,000 young Americans have participated in the program, and more than 100,000 of them have been officially recognized for their volunteer efforts.

Future Blood Donor Blood Drive

On Wednesday, 23, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm CMSS will be hosting a blood drive. The Future Blood Donor program educates middle school students on what it means to be a blood donor and what it takes to recruit donors. Each advisory will be competing to see who can sign up the most adults to donate. The forms have been sent home, but if you would like to make an appointment and haven't seen the form, it is attached below. Please make plans to donate and show your student what it means to help save a life.

Fifth Grade FUNdamentals Night

APRIL 24, 2014

5:30pm - 7:00pm

Cabot Middle School South faculty and staff want to welcome our new students and their parents to the Middle School South Family. We would like to give you a tour of our building and allow you to meet our principals and teachers. Join us as we "assign" you a team and allow you to rotate through classrooms in the building to prepare you to be a 5th grader.

For parents bringing siblings, there will be a supervised play area where your children will be taken care of while you tour the building with your incoming 5th grader. At the end of the evening, there will be a question and answer session and refreshments in the cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you on April 24th!

4th Grade Step - Up

We are excited to host the incoming 4th Graders from our elementaries. During their visit, the 4th graders will have a meet and greet with the Principal and Assistant Principals to answers questions, visit classes in session, take a tour of the gyms, and a walk through of the cafeteria.
