From our Nutritional Services Department
United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the funding to provide free meals to all children ages 1-18 through June, 30, 2020 or until the federal funding is gone. Nutritional Services continues to offer free meals to all children ages 1-18 regardless of income level. Each meal bag contains 5 breakfast, lunches and afterschool snacks for your students to enjoy.
Meal Pick Up times and Locations:
Stripes Students (previously in school on Monday and Tuesday): Tuesday Nights at Fridley High School from 4:30-6:00 pm
Paws Students (previously in school on Thursday and Friday): Thursday Nights at Fridley High School from 4:30-6:00 pm
Distance Academy Students: Wednesday at Fridley Middle School from 11:30-1:30 pm
There is no meal pick up from December 23-Janaury 4, 2021. Regular scheduled meal pick up times begin on January 5, 2021.
While all students are distance learning, if you are unable to make the assigned pick up day, you can pick up at any of the locations or times. Children do not need to be present to pick up meals. We hope that you will take advantage of the free meals to help stretch your household food budget and support the Nutritional Services Department. If you have any questions regarding meal pick please contact Renee Arbogast at 763-502-5022
With Our Thanks...
Thank you Callahan Family!
Our family has been rooted at Hayes since our oldest daughter started kindergarten in 2008. We have made many good friends there over the years, and some of my very favorite people are teachers in that school. I have been trying to find ways to spread cheer locally and I decided to send lunch to the Hayes staff to thank them for how hard they have been working this year to make sure that every child feels loved and special. I always hope that they know they are appreciated and supported by the families they serve even if we aren't able to be in the building. Thank you so much for all that you do for your students every single day!
Love - Erin and Josh Callahan
