Welcome to Room 202 at LOHS!

German, ELA 9, and Reading Acceleration

I'm so excited to meet you!

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

I'm excited to welcome you to the 2015-2016 school year. My name is Jennifer Howe, and I teach German, ELA 9, and Reading Acceleration at LOHS.

This is my fourteenth year teaching at Lake Orion High School. I grew up in Rochester Hills, received my Bachelor of Arts in English and German from Albion College, and completed my Masters in Teaching Language at Wayne State University. My professional interests include Reading and Writing Workshop, curriculum development, online/blended teaching and learning, Standards-Based Grading, and mentoring new teachers.

I live in Auburn Hills with my husband and two daughters. Chelsea is starting third grade, and Katie is starting kindergarten at Auburn Elementary. The picture to the right shows us during our summer vacation at Lake Michigan. My personal interests include reading, writing, traveling, and taking adventures with my girls.

Please tell me a bit about your child.

I'm excited to partner with you this semester. You know your child best. If you have a few minutes, please click on the link, and provide me with some important information.
