## What is Beer's Law?

Beer's Law is the attenuation of light to the properties of the material through which the light is traveling.

## Aunt Elda's Story

What we believe is that the anesthesiologist gave Aunt Elda to much anesthesia when performing surgery to take out her appendix. The anesthesia knocked her out and then her body shut down and she didn't wake up from the procedure.

## What we need to know.

We know that the max amount of anesthesia is 40%, so we need to figure out how much anesthesia the anesthesiologist gave to Aunt Elda.

## How did we figure out that the anesthesiologist gave Aunt Elda to much anesthesia?

By using a Colorimeter, we were able to figure out how much anesthesia was used on Aunt Elda. We know that the max amount of anesthesia is 40%, Aunt Elda's amount that she had was around 60%. That means way to much was used and that is way she did not wake up from the surgery. We made a graph and a data table to help lay out the procedure we took to figure out the amount of anesthesia.
