A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
In March we had a blast at Seuss and an incredibly fun and informative school-wide presentation on Eagles. Now in April we will have some class field trips, state testing, and a new take on Jog-A-Thon.
PTO has come up with a brilliant idea to bring a little excitement and change to our annual Jog-A-Thon. Although, running/walking will be a part of the possibilities that day, our PTO parents want to encourage students to just be healthy and get moving. Student's will have a variety of activities that they can choose to participate in during that day. We are hoping to have a zumba instructor, field games, jump roping, hula-hooping, and other fun ways to stay healthy and active. Student will collect active minutes instead of laps. Still in the planning stages (Mtg. April 4th at 5:30 in Room 1), the event has been christened, "Panthers Get Moving Day!"
Grade 3-5 will begin state testing this month. Below is a schedule of when classes are slated to test. You can help your child during their testing week by: making sure they get a good nights rest and a healthy breakfast; help them relax by making the morning of testing pleasant; and letting your Panther know that this test is important and they should do their best, but that they will always be loved by you no matter the result. For more tips on preparing your child for standardized testing, click here.
State Testing Schedule:
Mr. Fretz’s Class—April 17-21
Mr. Joseph’s Class—April 24-28
Mrs. Miracle’s third graders—May 1-5
Mrs. Laeger’s third graders—May 8-12
Mrs. Treadwell’s Class—<Testing week to be determined>
Finally, just a note to say how much we love our Panthers. You have bright, creative students and it is an honor and a joy to watch them grow. Thank you for being a Patrick Panther Family!

Rogue Valley Farm to School offer's monthly sampling in the school cafeteria through the Tasting Tables program! Keep an eye out for the monthly recipe and health information flyer.
