Independent Study Program

Big picture

Independent study is an alternative to classroom instruction consistent with a school district's course of study and is not an alternative curriculum. Independent study is voluntary. If you are interested in this program

Independent Study Important Information:

1. Student must be enrolled at Jefferson Elementary School.

2. Student will be assigned to a Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School.

3. Parents commit to completing all assignments that the teacher will send home.

4. All "Independent Study" Assignments will be completed with 100% parent support at home. The teacher will be available to support the student in a limited capacity.

5. THIS IS NOT A HYBRID Program. Meaning the student will not use technology to meet with the teacher and or students on a regular basis. 100% of the work will need to be completed at home.

REMINDER: This is an alternative for families who are not comfortable sending thier child to school at this time. There is a lot of Responsibility on the Parents/Guardians to ensure that the school work is completed daily-weekly.

21-22 Class List

Class List will be posted on Tuesday August 17th 9am to 3pm. We invite our parents to come to the school and find out who their child's teacher will be for the school year. Please bring a pen, pencil and paper to write one. Many of our parents use their phone to take a picture.

Please be aware that class changes will not be permitted, we have worked really hard to balance our classes using student data. Moving or changing a child's class it like wearing a shoe size that does not fit for the rest of the year. Each of classes are created to service our students with their academic needs.

Thank You for your understanding.
