Here are some tips as you complete your scholarship applications ...
- Be aware of individual deadlines.
- If you need letter of recommendation, or a transcript, make sure you ask for them well in advance.
- Students are responsible for mailing in completed scholarship applications to the necessary organization.
- If you need assistance, please ask!
New Scholarships Have Arrived!
Saratoga Hospital Volunteer Guild Scholarship: the eligible applicant must be planning to pursue a college curriculum in the medical field, have a GPA of 80 or higher, and have been an active volunteer within his or her community. Applications are available in the Counseling Office or online. Deadline: April 4, 2016.
Pride Center's Youth Scholarship: for LGBTQA high school students entering their freshman year of college or an accredited program in the fall of 2016. All applicants must complete an application and provide the additional materials that are outlined in the scholarship packet. Applications are available online at: www.capitalpridecenter.org or in the Counseling Office. Deadline: March 1, 2016
The David, Gladys & Candace Groudine Scholarship: for LGBTQA students and their allies who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to LGBTQA equality. Applications are available online at: www.capitalpridecenter.org or in the Counseling Office. Deadline: March 1, 2016
The Gregg Stein Scholarship: for LGBTQA students and their allies who plan to pursue a career in the Arts related field and who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to LGBTQA equality. Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern New York (BRANNY) Scholarship: applicant must be pursuing a career in construction or a construction-related field and be a high school senior, a high school graduate or a college student. Applications are available online. Deadline: March 25, 2016
Adirondack School Counseling Association Scholarship: applicant must be planning to attend a 4-year college or university and plan to study human services, sociology, or psychology. The applicant must also have a record of serving others in a humanitarian way. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Deadline: April 20, 2016
Adirondack Runners Scholarship: eligible applicants must be planning to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university as a full-time student. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Deadline: April 8, 2016
