Pirate Presence - Attendance
Our goal is to build positive relationships with each of our students, which we hope will help our students succeed. Each student should set a personal goal to be at school at least 90% of the time. Research shows that students who have an attendance rate of 90% and above experience higher levels of success academically, socially and emotionally.
Please let us know how we can support you and your student for the remainder of the semester.

High-Paying Trade Jobs Sit Empty, While High School Grads Line Up For University
"...high school graduates have been so effectively encouraged to get a bachelor's that high-paid jobs requiring shorter and less expensive training are going unfilled. This affects those students and also poses a real threat to the economy."

Summer School 2019
The Platte County R-3 School District is excited to announce that Summer School will be held in June, 2019. Because of our inclement weather days, dates have not been officially set as of yet, but summer School is tentatively scheduled for June 3-29, 2019. All Platte County R-3 students are invited to attend and continue to grow as learners throughout the summer! The purpose of PCR-3’s Summer School Program is to provide an experience that is relevant, rigorous, and engaging, based on individual learner needs, in a safe and caring environment.
- Information about enrolling in the High School summer school program will be available in April.

Student SCHIVIR Nominations
In an effort to make sure we are recognizing all our students, we are opening up the opportunity for students to nominate their peers when they are seen living out our Pirate Character Traits in our building. Please use this form to nominate your fellow students whom you see are living out our Pirate Character Traits (Self-Confidence, Pride, Responsibility, Citizenship, Compassion, Individuality, Self Control, Integrity, Perseverance, Respect, Cooperation, Honesty). Bullying and Safety Concerns
Safety is one of our district’s top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, our district is now using SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration.
You and your student can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, or any safety issue you're concerned about through SafeSchools Alert.
Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so that they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.
Together, using SafeSchools Alert, we can make our district a safer place to learn!
