Red Ribbon Week
Stand Against Drugs
Red Ribbon Week is a national observance held annually from October 23 – 31. Red Ribbon Week was established in 1988 after the death of Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, and was created to take a collective stand against underage use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs. People of all ages are encouraged to wear red ribbons during the observance to show their support for year-round drug prevention efforts.
Dress Up Themes for Red Ribbon Week
Monday, October 23rd - Everyone Wear Red to kick-off Red Ribbon Week.
Tuesday, October 24th - also... "United Nations Day" - United against Drugs - Everyone wear colors to represent a nation. United States, Mexico, Italy, etc...
Wednesday, October 25th - Lei Off Drugs - Wear Hawaiian Clothing!
Thursday, October 26th - Dress like a Super Hero - Save a Life, Stay Away from Drugs!
Friday, October 27th - Too Bright for Drugs - Bring On the Neon!
