Students return on Monday, April 10

The staff and faculty at Terrace Middle School hope that all of our students and their families are enjoying Spring Break and will be ready to finish strong for the remaining 7 weeks in the school year. We highly encourage parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their students' grades and behavior as we enter the busiest time of the school year with end-of-the-year activities, projects, and field trips. Please help ensure your child's participation in these events.

Attention 8th Grade Parents re: Promotion Ceremony and Activities

How is your 8th grader performing? Is he or she going to be able to participate in the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Thursday, May 25th? Please be in contact with your 8th grader's teachers - Mary Forsyth, Melanie Sturr, Tresa Thorley, Zane Jensen, Nicole Wells, Nathan Crozier, and Luis Gomez - to check in on your child's progress. Students may not have any Fs in any classes in the Second Semester, and must have maintained - at the very least - a D average all school year long in order to participate in the Promotion Ceremony and associated activities. Logging into PowerSchool is your best bet (see link below). Please call the office should you need assistance logging in. Thank you.

If you're interested in helping other parents with Promotion-related activities, please contact Yvette Ingham @ 707-245-5228 or Bruce Beyer @ 707-489-0988. There's no such thing as too much help!

California School Dashboard

The State of California's new accountability system - The California School Dashboard - is now available to the public. The video below is a great introduction to the multiple measures of assessment that are reflected in each school's report card, if you will, from the 2015-2016 school year. A report on the current school year's data will not be available until the Fall, giving the State time to calculate May's State testing scores, and other necessary data.
