Field Day
FIELD DAY
Wednesday, June 1st will be our school wide field day!! Let's hope we will not be rained out again!
K - 3rd Grade 9:30 AM - 11:40 AM
4th - 6th Grade 1:40 PM - 3:40 PM
Students need to wear athletic wear (shorts and t-shirts) and bring:
Tennis Shoes
Sunblock
Water bottle (labeled with the student's name)
Parent volunteers need to show photo id, sign in at the office, and get a visitor badge prior to helping out for your designated time.
Please remember that for safety reasons no adults are allowed to view the games, only registered volunteers with background checks on file are allowed on the field.
PTO End of Year Fun Event
P-EBT BENEFITS
The Department of Health and Human Services has provided notice to families qualifying for P-EBT benefits. Families that have not received notice but believe they qualify can complete a reconsideration form.
Students eligible for free and reduced meals or those attending a CEP building who were absent due to COVID, may qualify for P-EBT benefits.
Please refer to the attached notice regarding eligibility for the Pandemic EBT program. Families that believe they should be reconsidered for benefits can complete the reconsideration form located at www.michigan.gov/pebt. Parents/guardians are responsible for completing sections 1, 2 and 4. Completed forms can be sent to your school’s main office or the office of Food and Nutrition Services.
dress code reminder
UCS takes pride in our students and encourages their development of good hygiene and grooming habits. Student dress and appearance that is neat and clean contribute to a positive environment.
Students apparel should not be disruptive to the educational process. The following are the guidelines for school attire:
Indecent, tattered or unsafe dress in footwear or attire that calls undo attention to the student or has letterings or symbols that are disrespectful or derogatory are not allowed.
Beachwear, low tank tops or shirts, spaghetti strap tank tops, sleeveless tops, muscle shirts, see-through clothing, short skirts or shorts, tight clothing without proper coverage and clothing that allows exposure to shoulders or midsection are not allowed.
Clothing that promotes illegal substances or drugs illegal activities violence tobacco or alcohol is prohibited
Clothing or head coverings born as a group identifier that promote disruptive school and climate are prohibited

KINDERGARTEN READINESS
Get ready for kindergarten! This academic enrichment program is a unique combination of learning and fun that gives students extra practice in core curriculum areas. Please note that Session I and Session II are different programs. Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2022 or attending kindergarten during the 2022-2023 school year.
