Month of the Military Child Around JISD
"As a military child myself, there are some spectacular things about being a military child, meeting new people, traveling to different places in the world, starting a new life and journey, getting the ability to go help your parents and go to their promotions. I encourage our district to dress in purple to celebrate the month of the Military Child; purple indicates that all branches of the military are supported." - Dr. Milton R. Fields III, Judson ISD Deputy Superintendent of Administration & Operations
April is #MonthOfTheMilitaryChild which means it’s time to #PurpleUp and celebrate what makes our Military Kids unique! Below you can find pictures of students and staff who Purpled Up yesterday, April 15, for Military Child Day.

Unified Champions School
The Unified Champion Schools (UCS) model is a whole-school intervention that aims to promote social inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in their schools (by fostering interpersonal relationships and school participation) through inclusive activities within the normative contexts of the school. Sports is the program's foundation; the Unified Champion Schools Program has three main components: inclusive sports, inclusive youth leadership, and whole-school engagement.
The UCS program is an extension of Special Olympics, but it is adaptable to each school that participates. Activities such as robotics, gardening, cheer, ROTC, etc., are included in this program.
The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has officially recognized Unified Sports! UIL member schools who sign a Partnership to Inclusion with Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) by the end of the fall semester will have the opportunity to compete for a Unified-UIL State Championship.
School of Choice
In our School of Choice website's menu, you will see a list of campuses grouped by elementary, middle, and high schools. Each campus listed will have a link to their campus website, a brochure explaining some of the unique features and offerings of that school, and a virtual video tour of the campus to give you a visual sense of the school. Again, thank you for choosing Judson ISD. If you have questions about a school or program, please feel free to contact the campus of interest, and they will be able to help you.
