BARCODING INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS - IMPORTANT
Starting this week, Union School District will barcode instructional materials for the first time. The TK-5th Grade: 2019 Instructional Materials to Barcode document names and provides an image of all materials needing barcodes by grade level. Please review the document to see which materials you have received. In some cases, some teachers have additional materials beyond what other grade level teachers have. Teachers who have these additional materials will be notified of which additional materials they have so those can be barcoded as well. If you have received any additional ELA materials, please put those out to be barcoded too. Lisa will email or notify you when to have your instructional materials ready. She will be doing one grade level at a time, with most of the work being done after school in order to minimize classroom disruption.
The district appreciates your support with this initiative in barcoding our instructional materials.
OPEN HOUSE
In Wednesday's Vista Views, there will be a short blurb about how to make the most of Open House. One of the requests, will be to allow current students/parents time with their teacher. This is intended to cut down the "interviews" often conducted by incoming students. We'll keep our fingers crossed that this creates a better experience for everyone.
END OF YEAR CHECK OUT
At the bottom of this newsletter, you will see a link to the End of Year Check Out form. You probably won't want to start working on this until after Open House, but we wanted you to have the information.PINKS/BLUES AND CLASS PLACEMENT
Once you have completed the class placements for next year, please return the pinks/blues to the office. Class placements should be done by Friday. If your team needs more time, please talk to Cathy.
NED SHOW YO-YO SALES
We will continue to sell the NED Show yo-yos after school, until they are sold out or interest diminishes. Items for sale will be on display in Cathy's office window and will be available to purchase at her office door. This will allow us to have an orderly line without blocking classrooms.
