Updates for LEAs—January 18, 2021
Title IV, Part A School Safety State Initiative has provided information and resources regarding school safety and mental health to ESCs since March 2020. In an effort to assist school districts in the state more effectively, we have selected key information that we can share with school districts that can help your staff and students be safe and mentally strong. For even more information and guidance, contact your local education service center—they'll be glad to assist you.
Human Trafficking Deep Dive
Human Trafficking School Board Training | Deadline: January 31, 2021:
TASB and Protect Texas are currently offering approved School Board training.
The requirements for school board training can be found in 19 TAC 61.1051.
NOT ALONE Exhibit on Human Trafficking at The Bullock Texas State History Museum
Not Alone educates visitors about human trafficking and gives them a sense of hope and empowerment in combating the issue. The exhibit will be on view from January 9 - May 30.

New Toolkit: COVID-19 and Mental Health Considerations Amid Reintegration to School
The Texas School Safety Center has developed a new toolkit to address mental health considerations for supporting students, staff, and parents in the transition back to school.
