Principals' Message: A Look Into Next Week...
From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents and Guardians:
This week marks the end of Term #1. The start of the school year definitely presented some challenges, but each day we are getting better and better. This doesn’t happen without the multiple layers of supports, including that of caregivers and teachers. More importantly, students continue to understand the importance of embracing the responsibility of their own learning. However, please know that as an administrative team, we are continually looking to evolve and move toward creating the best learning platform possible. We can’t be successful without your support and connectivity. I am well aware that levels of frustration do exist within this framework and I am always available to speak with you and brainstorm ways to assist your child, as we continue to grow throughout this school year. Do not hesitate to contact me directly.

CMS' Annual Drive to Support CHIP-In (Local Food Pantry)
It is that time of year at CMS where we look to reach out to help our neighbors by donating non-perishable food items to CHIP-IN. Now, more than ever, CHIP-IN needs donations. We invite you please donate any non-perishable food items; or if you prefer, a monetary donation. If you choose to write a check, we ask that you please make it out to CHIP-IN, and put it to Mr. Packard’s attention.
CHIP-IN is looking for all kinds of juices, baked beans, snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. Things that are not needed: Peanut butter, cereal and Ramen noodles; these items are provided to CHIP-IN through the Worcester County Bank. Don’t forget to check those expiration dates.
Collection boxes will be outside the front doors, as students enter the building. Boxes will remain outside all day, if anyone would like to drop anything off. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Kasierski at pkasierski@dcrsd.org

School Council 2020-2021 (Final Call)
I will be putting together this year’s School Council. This year we will be conducting the council from a virtual platform. If you have an interest in serving on this year’s council, please fill out the Form below. School Council members work together with current staff to shape our School Improvement Plan and review school budgetary needs and will meet on Thursdays. Please be sure to continue to complete this pre-screening Form each day. We appreciate your cooperation with this as we working toward keeping everyone safe.
Student Leadership & Voice
Starting Wednesday, November 18th, Mr. Packard & Mr. Olson will be starting a Leadership & Student Voice virtual platform. We encourage all students to take part, as we will explore leadership and student voice platforms. This will take place only on Wednesdays and we will meet every other week.
