1. Accepting Applications
ap·pli·ca·tion: the action of putting something into operation.
It's neat how organic growth forms from the application of good people who work together with shared values. Having said that, let's think in terms of what applications we have accepted lately...
Did you ever hear this statement growing up, "If you would just apply yourself, you would have good grades!"? That's not fun to hear, but it does beckon a reality check concerning our awareness and efforts. That statement can also apply to our jobs, our families, our finances, our relationships, our careers, etc.
Education and application are not always the same thing, just like knowing and doing are not. Knowledge is power, but power is only made real after it has been applied to our lives. Understanding and wisdom will be our friends as we do.
When you applied for the role that you're currently in, you did your research, you brought out your best, you dressed to impress, you wanted to toot your own horn without blowing it, you came ready for the interviews, you were excited! You accepted more than a job description, you accepted to apply your best everyday. What if that applied momentum only grew?
The challenge to us now is to continue to apply our skill set, our giftings, our ideas, our creativity, our diplomacy, our understanding, our innovation, to our careers here. In addition, the challenge is out there to apply yourself to your wellness goals. Cultivate your own health journey. Others around here will hop on board! That's one of the key components that make us great. No one can achieve the greatest of things without partnership.
Bring it back if it's gone. Cultivate the thrive. You were born to thrive, not just survive. See it that way. Apply a little more of your heart to your life and overall well-being. The applications of life are out there, let's accept them!
No one has to live in your body but you, and no one gets to either!

1. What types of training are you into? I’m into all types of training! I usually start my week off with something relaxing like Yogalates, and as the week continues my workouts increase with intensity with classes like “Crush It!” and Advanced boxing. I usually like to end my week the same way I begin with something like yoga.
2. How has having the Coliseum at work made a difference for you? It’s so convenient to have the Coliseum at work. My normal excuses were I didn’t have time or the gym was too far away from my home. With the Coliseum being right downstairs and by me having the ability to go during lunch, I don’t have any excuses! I have so much more energy and I’ve made a ton of new friends in the Coliseum that I normally wouldn’t have had contact with otherwise.
3. What encouragement would you give other associates on accomplishing their health and fitness goals? Download the “Mindbody” app and SIGN UP FOR CLASSES IN THE COLISEUM! If you need motivation and encouragement to reach your goals the trainers at the Coliseum will help you get there. The trainers not only lead the class, but they actually care about your goals and your well-being.
4. Favorite life quote? “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too” – From the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
5. Favorite food? Lemon Pepper wings!! J
