Message From Ms. Riddle
Greetings TLA Families!
Many refer to this time of year as “the season of giving.” I also think (maybe it’s because I like to hide away from the cold) that it's a great time for getting still (and cozy) and reflecting. As we continue to make strides towards academic greatness throughout these next few weeks, it’s also a great time to continue to develop character by helping scholars give outwardly and reflect inwardly. Check out this great little collection of ideas to help us do just that throughout the month of December. We are already a week in, but there are still three weeks of opportunities remaining!
Learning and Fun, All in One
Yesterday in physical science, scholars presented their simple machines to the class. They described how energy was being transformed from one form to another, the benefits and disadvantages of using this type of energy conversion, and the strengths and weaknesses of their simple machine.

There has been a decrease in scholars going to homework reflection after school, but our goal is to have zero scholars attending and all scholars completing their nightly homework. Please ask your scholar to try to do their homework when you are not able to help, even if it seems to be hard or scary, which is our virtue for the month. COURAGE: To choose what is good, right, and kind even when it is hard or scary. By working together we will reach our goal of zero scholars in homework reflection. Thank you for all you do to make TLA the best we can be.
