Dear Parent/Guardian:

We have completed three weeks of Remote Learning. A progress report was sent to each student. No grades are listed for the fourth quarter progress report. Work is graded complete or incomplete. All missing work is listed on the progress report. Please help your child to complete and submit these assignments. (The completed work will have no penalty.)

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me by email, burtona@oakwood76.org.

Thank you for the continued support.

Stay healthy,

Nurse News by Mrs. Zindars

An important part of being healthy is to make sure each of us spend some time during the day on self-care. Mrs. Zindars recommends starting your day off with a self-care activity. Many times, we plan on taking care of ourselves later in the day and run out of time or steam.

The attached document shares self-care tips for the mind, body, and soul.

OJHS - Three Daily Responsibilities

Online Resource for Daily Lessons

Remote Learning is a new journey for all of us. Your child was part of a routine during the school day and had many opportunities to understand work expectations.

Directions to daily/weekly assignments are primarily written in the daily plan and in the Google Classrooms. Some staff are offering additional help with directions during Google Meets. A few staff are recording lessons with additional instructions to be reviewed.

Reading, reviewing, and understanding the assignment's directions is a key to success.

Key to Success

OJHS News - The link above includes the daily lessons and the How are You survey. They are updated every morning by 8:00 am.

"Hello, Seventh Grade" includes the daily/weekly assignments for seventh-grade students. "Hello, Eighth Grade" includes the daily/weekly assignments for eighth-grade students. The "How are You" picture includes the link to the daily survey.

Assignment Expectations

Even though your child is not physically in school, he/she is still required to complete the provided assignments. Everything that they are working on will be a building block for next year’s academic work, so it is important that assignments are completed.

Teachers will "grade" student work as complete or incomplete. A complete will be given for assignments that met expectations. An incomplete will be given for missing assignments and assignments needing to be corrected. Assignments need turned in and/or resubmitted to get a complete grade.
