Mr. Timm's Talks
What a week!
Arrival and dismissal are beginning to flow at the pace we knew they would. Obviously we will face hiccups every once in a while, but we will all work together to deal with those as they come along. I want to remind you of a couple of things:
- The tardy bell rings at 7:30. Once the sign is out and teachers are inside you must walk in with your student and sign them in.
- 3 times this week I called the last car at 3:15. I've been working in car lines long enough to know the tricks, you wait til the very end and then roll through so you don't have to sit. If you're doing this and arriving after 3:15 you're making the teachers sit outside in the heat instead of sitting for 3-5 minutes max. If you are not there when the last car is called your students will be moved inside and you will need to come in and get them.
I want to thank you all again for partnering with us to create the best educational environment possible for your students, we couldn't do it without you! There are a lot of exciting things taking place in the next few weeks so please read the entire newsletter and be prepared for lots of fun! As always, please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
Don't forget to read with your students over the weekend!

Grand Person's Week
Are you a Grand Person in a student's life? Do you like to eat lunch and read books? Then come join us for Grand Person's week September 23-27!
Join your student for lunch, any day, and then visit the Book Fair in the library to support our school. A reservation is attached below to sign up your "grand person" to join your student for lunch. Please remember all visitors will need a badge to enter the building. If your "grand person" has had their ID ran through our system then we will print their badge when we receive their reservation. If they have not had their ID ran then I would encourage them, if possible, to come and do that beforehand and avoid any lines. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Reservation is at the bottom of the newsletter!
Happy Friday!
September is Suicide Awareness Month so as a point of reference I have attached an article from our Director of College/Career Readiness and Guidance- Becky Wiginton on suicide prevention. Suicide Prevention Month Article If you have any questions or comments regarding this please let me know.
We have had a great year so far and I cannot wait to begin guidance lessons in classrooms next week. If you have a fourth or fifth grader ask them if Mrs. Ballard was in their room with them this week and what we talked about!
Please contact me if you need anything or have questions!
Thank you to everyone who came to Fuzzy's for our first spirit night, it was a HUGE success!
