Basic information about proteins
Definition: Proteins are large, bio-molecules or macro-molecules, consisting of one or more long chains of amino acid residues.
Interesting facts: Is in each of the trillion cells in the human body. Of all the cheeses low-sodium Parmesan cheese has the most protein. Keratin is a type of protein that our hair, nails and outer skin is made of. the protein contained in eggs is considered to be the highest quality of all foods.
Function of the macro-molecule in living things
What do living things use molecules for? Energy and Hormones
Where are they found in living things? Through out the body, muscle, bone, skin, hair, and other body parts and or tissue.
