FIRST IN MATH(FIM)
PLAY. LEARN. ACHIEVE.
Introducing FIM to KIPS teachers and Principals
FIM Bob Sun
We want to create mathematically proficient students!
FIM is a curriculum supplement that gives students the fundamental skills they need to achieve their academic goals. It delivers fluency in basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, while advancing higher-order thinking skills such as mental math, problem-solving, pattern sensing, reasoning and number sense through deep practice. This year we are using FIM as our FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT. This SMORE will guide you through every step you need to be successful and reach your goals.
GETTING STARTED
- Toby will send you your credentials to log in to www.firstinmath.com.
- FIM is iPad compatible.
- A kindergarten student is ready for FIM when he/she has an understanding of number sense (adding two numbers together. Therefore, not all of your students might be ready for FIM.
- FIM does not teach math. It is used as a math resource to practice math skills.
First in Math is Standards Aligned!
