Students with 7 or more absences will provide a doctor's excusal for each absence. Parents should send medical excusals to the classroom teachers when the student returns to school. Medical excusals will be counted as excused absences. Our goal is to ensure that your child's attendance is accurate.

Lost and Found Table

We have a continuous Lost & Found table set up in the cafeteria. Those tables are full. Please encourage your students to check the lost & found tables for any lost items. Whatever is remaining on that table after January 21, 2020 will be donated to a local charity.

Our annual DoDads' Dance is on Friday January 31, 2020 from 6 to 7:30 pm. Mark your calendar and get out your dancing shoes!


The next skating party is Wednesday February 12, 2020 6 to 8 pm at the Roller Cave.


Next PTA meeting of the school year will be at 6 pm at Grassy Creek on Thursday February 6th. ALL are invited.

2020 Pesticide Notification Registry

2020 Pesticide Notification Registry

The Indiana Pesticide Review Board has regulations that impact how school corporations may use pesticides on school grounds. MSD Warren Township follows these guidelines and we are inviting parents and guardians to join our Pesticide Notification Registry. By signing up for this registry, you will be notified via email at least 48 hours prior to a pesticide application at your child’s school, subject to certain exceptions. You will be invited to sign up for this notification each school year.

TRASH BAG SALES

Grassy Creek is selling trash bags again this year as a fundraiser. These are quality bags suitable in size and strength for your trash needs and any yard work needs. These bags are twice as thick as the leading name brand and come in three different sizes. Each roll is $10. Choose from White - 15 gallon (tall kitchen), 65 bags per roll, Yellow - 39 gallon, 25 bags per roll, or Blue - 55 gallon (super size) 16 bags per roll. Proceeds go directly into our Student Activity Fund and will be used for the students where needed.Thank you in advance for your continued support! FROM THE OFFICE OF EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS

Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here. If you would like to complete a recommendation for the broad based planning committee to consider you can do so here 2020-2021 High Ability Parent Recommendation Form The parent recommendation form will be open until January 31, 2020.
