Thank you for attending Parent Teacher Conferences!
Thank you to everyone who attended Parent Teacher Conferences this past week. Our goal was 100% participation, we have reached 88% so far. If you were not able to make your conference, please call your child's teacher and reschedule. It is very important that we work together to provide the best education possible! We have some great things to share with you about what your child is learning!
Red Ribbon Week - October 25-28
Attendance Goal : 95% attendance building wide
Montgomery City Elementary is working hard to keep our school wide attendance at 95%. Missing one day, or even one hour of a four day school week is precious learning time lost. In order to promote attendance and its importance we’ve decided to launch an incentive. In partnership with PTO, we are offering a chance at a $25 gift card for perfect attendance throughout the next 20 school days.
Details:
• For each day that a student is at school on time and stays the entire daythey will have their name put in the drawing for the gift card. (This means they could have their name in 20 times)
• Dates of Qualification: October 18th- November 18th
• There will be a $25.00 gift card for each grade level.
• Times that a student must be in school to qualify are 7:50 am till 3:35 pm.
Our average daily attendance at MCE for this past week was:
Tuesday: 95.04%
Wednesday: 95.2%
Thursday: 96.4%

Phone calls to change transportation routes are for Emergencies Only
If you need to make a change to your child’s normal routine you must send a note with your child in the morning. If it is an emergency, you must call and speak to a secretary before 2pm. Do not leave a message on the school answering service. The answering service is to report absences only, and it is not checked throughout the day.
We will not make any changes after 2pm. Our goal is to get every student safely to their correct destination at the end of each day. We need your help to make sure this happens.
