The CCA Varsity Soccer team played in Joplin and Carthage last weekend in the MCSAA State Tournament. CCA’s first game was against Heritage Classical Academy on Thursday. The score was tied 4-4 until late in the second half when Heritage scored, making it 4-5, and giving the Patriots their first loss in the tourney.
In their second game the Patriots took on Christian Learning Center on Friday, CLC won despite the game being tied at the end of the first half. The ending score was 2-6, and the Patriots got their 2nd loss of the tourney.
CCA was supposed to play the Show-Me Christian Angels on Saturday in Joplin, but the game was rained out and postponed to Monday in Clinton at 4:00pm. CCA had the 3-0 lead at the end of the first half and ended up winning 4-1. Jake, Matthew and Jared all scored for CCA.
