We Are All In This Together
November 2020, Newsletter
We understand the importance of being able to get back to in-person instruction as soon as possible, unfortunately at this time, we are not able to do so with the current state metrics. We have prepared a survey for you to give us feedback on how we can better serve our students during this time when we are in the distance learning model. We value your feedback. Please help us by taking the time to fill out this survey below for each child attending our schools. Thank you.

New Revised Guidelines and Metrics
On October 29th, new revised Guidelines and metrics (or here) for monitoring COVID19 were released by the Oregon Department of Education. The new metrics outline a new strategy intended to have all Oregon students in schools by February. The pathway to reopening schools is clearer and more actionable than previously.
At this time, Jackson County does not meet the revised metrics for students to return to on-site instruction. Eagle Point School District must remain in Comprehensive Distance Learning. We anticipate we will continue in the CDL model for the next 9 weeks. Our goal is to utilize "Limited In-Person Instruction" (LIPI) to the maximum extent possible.
You can help Jackson County return to school by wearing your face coverings, practicing social distancing, and limiting your social gatherings. We will get through this together.
