Distance Learning Continues...Important Info

Happy Wednesday, HRBA Families.

I hope that you all had a nice Easter, in spite of the social distancing regulations. We are definitely living in unprecedented times. It is my hope that our families are doing well physically, emotionally, and financially. I am aware of at least a couple of cases of COVID-19 in our school community, but thankfully these people are on the mend and did not experience the absolute worst that this virus has to offer. Beyond the health ramifications, though, we have an increasing number of families who have been negatively financially impacted by the stay home orders. As you know, we are part of a particularly vulnerable community with some of our members living in undocumented status and unable to get help or unwilling to come out of the shadows to ask for help. I also know that many are struggling with the feeling of isolation that can come with social distancing. It can be a hard time for everyone, so my prayer is that we will get through the worst of this and be together again soon. I have a survey for this week that will provide us some useful info at the school. Please take a few minutes to complete this...it should take only 2-5 mins and your info is greatly appreciated. Here is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BVMM327

Please read through this newsletter for some important info about drop-off/pick-up days and the Zoom/online learning schedule...and, as always, stay in touch if we can do anything to assist. Don't forget...tuition is due today if you are not on FACTs. Simply email Nina at office@holyrosarybilingual.org and she will be in touch to process a payment. Also, checks can be sent to the office as we are checking the mail. Thank you again to all who are on FACTs. It makes life so much easier for us!!

Have a wonderful week in the sunshine. Easter blessings to all of you!

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Days!

Several grades have packets of information that will be completed by students in the coming weeks. Originally, remember, teachers had planned to be back with the students at the school on April 27th. Therefore, the teachers will need to collect and grade the packets so that they can provide the feedback that they are also doing through online learning. In a Zoom call with the teachers in Pre-K and K today, they wanted to send home additional packets, in conjunction with the online learning. Therefore, we will make arrangements to be at the school for two 1/2 days to collect the completed packets, hand out new packets, and send home personal items such as water bottles and other things that were left behind by the students. This will be done on Friday, April 24th from 8 am - 12 pm and Monday, April 27th from 12 pm - 4 pm. You can do whichever day works best for you. If you don't have packets, are not in Pre-K or K, and/or do not need personal items returned, you do not need to come to either day. The staff will have gloves and masks and we will have parents PULL THROUGH and REMAIN IN THE CAR while we hand out items and collect items. We encourage parents to wear masks, as well. Pre-K families will pull through in front of the building (as they normally do for drop-off and pick-up) and K-8 will be done in the back of the building (where they normally do drop-off and pick-up). If you have specific items you want sent home, please let the teachers know so they can be sure to grab them. This will not be the only days for drop-off/pick-up since we will need to do packets again by mid-May and Ipads/laptops will need to be returned in June.
