We want to give a big shout out to 24 Church who came and pressure washed the concrete in front of the back lobby, painted both the choir room and back lobby bathrooms, and picked up trash around the campus last Sunday for their Serve Sunday project. We appreciate you so much!

Congrats to Sycamore High School senior Daniel Saylor, who has been named a National Merit Semifinalist.

The National Merit Corporation recently announced the 2020 semifinalists in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

This is a huge accomplishment as Saylor is one of 16,000 students across the country to earn this honor.

Saylor, who is also a standout basketball player, now has an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring.

Social Media Information Night

Deputy Vincent Turner, our SRO, will share information about online safety and familiarize parents with popular apps for students and how they work. Please join us at 6 pm in the library on October 21 to learn how to advise your child about the wise use of social media.

If you've driven around the back of our campus lately, you have probably noticed a new storage facility for our Theatre Department. If you would like to donate paint and/or paint supplies for the "new to us" storage unit, please contact Mrs. Wenning at deborah.wenning@ccstn.org or Mr. Baker at adrian.baker@ccstn.org.

Also, if you have any Roku sticks at home and would like to donate them, we could use them to post announcements on the tvs in the front lobby and cafeteria.

Finally, as part of our Sycamore PRIDE Positive Behavior Incentive Program, we are rewarding 4 students every week with Sonic drinks. If you would like to donate a Sonic gift card for this program, please contact Ms. Terri Jeanette, our bookkeeper at terri.jeanette@ccstn.org.

Thanks for your support!

Shop Local Shop Cheatham County Challenge

Don't forget about the Cheatham County School District’s monthly challenge through the “Shop Local Shop Cheatham” campaign!

The goal of this campaign is to encourage the community to be aware of the choice to shop locally, and how that choice positively affects the economic well-being of our county.

A portion of every sales tax dollar spent in the county goes toward education.

In October, we are asking our stakeholders to commit to buying their fall decor and Halloween candy in the county.
