A Message from the Principal
I don't know about you but I love this Friday of the year. It might actually be one of my favorites. We are preparing for Thanksgiving break and then we enter the world of winter traditions and fun! I love learning about all of the different family traditions we have among us and I love the excitement and curiosity all the students have for each other. I would like to give a shout out to Eun Ahn, Julia Park's mom, for making us a traditional Korean lunch this week with homemade Teriyaki sushi rolls and special potato noodles with veggies. We felt spoiled and we were able to try a new dish. Thank you!
Speaking of dishes, I am wishing you and your family a wonderful and delicious Thanksgiving week with much to be thankful for. I am thankful for you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Winter MAP Testing
District 67 students in grades 2-8 will take the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) during November 28-December 9. MAP is a Common Core-aligned, adaptive, computer-based assessment. This nationally normed assessment is designed to measure growth over time in the areas of reading and math. The district utilizes the achievement and growth data from MAP to inform instructional planning for individuals and groups of students; and measure growth from year-to-year.

Deerpath Road Closure - This Weekend!
This is a friendly reminder that Deerpath Road will be completely closed between Route 41 and Ahwahnee Lane from Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 pm through Monday, Nov. 21 at 5 am for ComEd's new bridge deck to be lifted into place.
Deerpath Road will remain open to local traffic from Green Bay Road to Ahwahnee Lane. Drivers are encouraged to use Green Bay Road south to Westleigh Road to access both Route 41 and Waukegan Road. The Route 41 exit and entrance ramps will remain open, but Deerpath will only be accessible west of the closure. After this closure, there will be periodic lane shifts along Deerpath Road while ComEd works to complete the project by the end of the year.
