HAPPY RETIREMENT, MS. CONNOR!
The administration and staff of Egg Harbor Township High School celebrated the retirement of Principal Patricia Connor with a farewell video followed by cake and cupcakes on Wednesday, June 22nd.
We will miss you, Ms. Connor!!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Greetings,
As I reflect on the school year and my 31 year career here in EHT, I feel blessed to have been able to serve the Egg Harbor Township Community. From the day I walked in the door in 1991, I could feel a connection with our students. I have and will always say EHT has great kids. Of course, there are always bumps along the way but the journey has been awesome. This week as we finish the school year we are still doing great things! #EHTPride
On Monday, June 20th, Mr. Bell's Honors African American Studies Class celebrated Juneteenth with presentations, poems, and food celebrating the holiday. It was the culmination of a fantastic school year and highlighted our diverse community with the themes of hope and joy. Other teachers celebrated as well by educating students on the true meaning of the day. It was a very productive and inspiring day for all. Thanks to Ms. Hannigan for the great info she shared with the faculty to help with discussion and education.
Tuesday, June 21, 2022 the Board of Education recognized many of our Spring athletes as you can see in the pictures and below. We had county academic recognition, girls track, boys track and of course our softball team. The girls softball team received Team of the Year from the press, as well as Ms. Troster receiving coach of the year, and our own Maddison Biddle receiving player of the year. So much great print for EHTHS!
Also recognized were our two outgoing senior Board of Education Representatives, Madeline Coyle and Lauren Wenzel. We welcomed upcoming seniors Camila Alfaro and Samir Chowdhury as the 2022 -2023 school representatives.
Senior students had an awesome Senior Week as they began with a full day of Senior Olympics on Tuesday with great fun!. The serious stuff started Wednesday as they received their cap and gowns and I believe things got real for them! The class picture was taken and the next two days were practice to make our ceremony perfect on Friday night. Yes that’s right, Friday night will be a perfect graduation. I'm sure there will be tears of joy, excitement, and nervousness. But, we'll make it! Graduating 567 young adults!
Just a reminder that school is closed as of the end of today, Friday June 24. If you need to speak to anyone, please contact any assistant Principal office or Guidance. Also, know that summer hours will begin on Monday, June 27. Those hours are Monday thru Thursday, 8-4. Building closed on Fridays. Please look for information on the web site for Freshman Orientation, it will be held in August. The first day of school for all students will be September 6, 2022
Well, that’s a wrap EHT! Another school year comes to a close. It is a tough one for me as I leave with the class of 2022 and we all start our “new beginnings!” Best of luck to the new principal on July 1, Ms. Carugno. Best of luck to my colleagues, teachers, staff, security, cafeteria workers, custodians, and facilities who have been with me through it all and continue to amaze me! Best of luck to our graduates ! To the EHT community, I thank you for your support and help over the years!!
Have a wonderful summer! Stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms. Connor

COMMUNITY PRIDE
Student Assistance Program and Resources
The High School has adopted a new bullying-prevention program for this school year!
#DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion.
This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams. We even have 3 of our own students who were selected by the foundation as leaders for this initiative!
The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly. This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring.
This notion is called being an #Upstander.
Has your student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
