The Legend of the Poinsettia
When he was the minister in Mexico from 1825 to 1830, he saw this lovely plant and brought it back with him to the US. The plant was named for him!

Fifth graders finishing up their second round at Saluda Shoals on Dec. 1st!
Pond dipping at Saluda shoals with first graders on Nov. 3rd.
Please stop by the lab to see the Trout! Kindergarteners are Ichthyologists!
MSAP Compliance Audit is scheduled!
You will see them walking the halls and touring our wonderful school. They may stop and ask you or your students some questions about the magnet program and what the students are learning. No teacher or student will be asked to meet for a formal interview but be prepared if they do stop you in the hall.
Our hallways look great with student work and I hope that you will continue to put student work up in the hallways. I know this is about six weeks away but I wanted to give you plenty of notice. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask myself, Mr. Scott, or Mrs. Umberger. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
Happy Holidays to you all! ( a little ryhme from a poet)
May we all be reminded of memories we hold dear!
Enjoy your time off,
Recharge your battery
For when we return,
It's the kiddos that matter-y
Know that each one of you is unique
Your dedication is clear
We appreciate your alliances
