Habit #4-Think Win-Win: Finding Ways Where Everyone Can Win
This month our Foster Bulldogs will be focusing on Habit 4: Think Win-Win. This is the first habit where students are asked to consider other people along with themselves. It teaches about abundance mentality, agreeable solutions for everyone, and to have the courage and consideration to think of others besides yourself. The activities for this month can benefit the relationships in your family.
Try this activity with your child to reinforce “Win-Win”: Planning Family Meals
On a weekly basis, try to gather the family around the table. Ask for everyone’s top favorite meals, create a list and plan a grocery shopping trip. With consideration of the family member’s age, each person can be responsible for a certain area in the store. Siblings can help siblings. To prepare dinner, give a job to each family member; consider their wishes and strengths when assigning jobs. This way, everyone can enjoy dinner together knowing that they have made their contribution to the menu and meal planning/preparation.
