One of our goals is to shower our teachers and staff with positive notes. Their hard work and dedication makes a difference in the lives of students. Parents and Guardians please take a moment to share a teacher shout/staff out.

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians,
As we continue to give thanks for our families, friends and many blessings, I would like to thank you again for your support and dedication to the students, staff, and our school! You are truly amazing and I appreciate the fact that I am fortunate to work with such awesome students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents, and guardians.
I encourage you to take time to talk with your child about his or her report card and the teaching and learning that is taking place in their classroom each day. We are half way through the school year and this is the perfect time to refocus and recommit to excellence. I have encouraged students to set personal and academic schools. Please talk to your child about his or her goals and the action steps they are taking to accomplish these goals.
Please make sure that your child comes to school everyday possible and arrives on time. All car riders should be picked up no later than 2:45 p.m. each day.
It is very important that arrangements have been made for your child in the event of a delayed start, early release or cancellation of school due to inclement weather. Please make sure that your child's teacher is aware of any changes.
Children First,
Seberina Myles, Ed. S.
From the desk of the Nurse
'Tis the season! I know, I know, Christmas has passed, but now it's flu season. I wanted to take a minute to emphasize the importance of fighting off germs, especially flu,as best as we can.
Department of Health, as of January 15th, has 11,000 cases of reported flu. Now, keep in mind this is "reported", not counting others with flu-like symptoms. So, below I've listed some ways we can be diligent in fighting off the flu and other winter germs!
-Our best defense is good hand washing.
-Increasing our fluid intake. Preferably water, but coffee and tea can count too.
-Healthy diet.
-Covering nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. I tell the students, cough or sneeze into your elbow or sleeve. Even covering our coughs and sneezes with our hands only, can increase the spread of germs. We usually forget to go and wash our hands immediately after using them to cover, so elbow and sleeve work best!
-Plenty of rest is always a good thing.
Remember, when our immune system gets weakened, it can result in other illnesses entering our bodies. It's not uncommon to see Strep Throat or Bronchitis with the flu.
Please be diligent in fighting germs, staying healthy and keeping your children home if they exhibit flu-like symptoms.
